How to set Goals
Happy New Year!
Please remember “New Year New Me” is Amazing that you want to grow for yourself, AND please don’t drain yourself or lose parts of yourself who also helped you get where you are today. When you want to grow and add to your growth use SMART goals to make those goals achievable.
What are smart goals?
Hi there! I've created a SMART goals worksheet that will help you set and achieve your goals. It's important to have a clear and concise plan in order to reach your desired outcome. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Specific: Clearly define what you want to achieve. Be as specific as possible.
2. Measurable: Determine how you will measure your progress. What metrics will you use to track your success?
3. Achievable: Make sure your goal is realistic and attainable. Don't set yourself up for failure by aiming too high.
4. Relevant: Ensure your goal is relevant to your overall vision and mission. It should align with your values and priorities.
5. Time-bound: Set a deadline for when you want to achieve your goal. This will give you a sense of urgency and help you stay focused.
Once you have completed the worksheet, you will have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve, how you will measure your progress, and when you want to achieve it. This will help you stay motivated and on track to reach your goals. Good luck!
By using the SMART goals you will be able to make your goals attainable. These steps are also amazing to write down and be able to reflect back on what you want to work on. Below I have a free downloadable file so you can work on your smart goals for the new year.
Take time to really think about your goals and how to make them achievable. Take if the goal is a large goal, break down that goal into further steps. For example: “I want to get an A in all of my classes” What are some smaller steps you can do to get there? What would it look like to have a little wiggle room with that goal?
Take time and make sure it is an achievable goal for yourself so you don’t bring about feelings of hopelessness or shame when you take on to big of a goal.
Happy New Year and good luck with your goals!=)
